I am in Canada.

Back in 1969 NASA was testing lunar samples to see if they represented a danger to the earth's ecology.

They used a diluted mixture of lunar dust and water on both corn and bean seeds. The plants quickly germinated and grew at an accelerated rate, 400% faster than normal, but the plants also suffered genetic deformities and produced cancerous growths.

No one could understand the genetic deformities or cancer...years passed and still no answers.

Until a couple of years ago I discovered that the original test results had been deleted from all records, all but the accelerated rate of growth. I asked why these important findings had been deleted and the answer I received was; they did not occur.

How are we going to move forward with the space program and the hope of colonizing other planets if facts are ignored or deleted if they represent a difficult problem?

No peer reviewed papers exist on the accelerated growth of plants subjected to lunar material or any formal explanation.

At this rate we are going backwards and not forwards to the future.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of such information. Moreover, you're claiming there are no peer reviewed papers or some kind of formal explanation. This is what makes me wonder if this information is credible at all.

If you check the NASA site under the Apollo Quarantine program you will find reference to the testing of both plants and animals, but NASA insists no ill effects of any kind occurred.

I actually saw the beans and corn myself, so I know how disturbing these initial test results were for all concerned, as no one at the time had any idea why accelerated growth occurred or why genetic deformities and cancerous growths manifested.

For many years I attempted to solve this mystery and when I thought I had a reasonable explanation I contacted NASA through the Canadian Space Agency and NASA responded by saying there were no genetic deformities or cancerous growths.

I had originally considered an answer to be worth something to NASA in that the Canadian Space Agency could use this information to improve their relationship with NASA, but NASA refuses to admit that any ill effects occurred in relation to the various species of plants and animals subjected to or injected with the lunar solution.

The Apollo Missions successfully landed men on the moon 6 times without a problem.

At the time the Russians were beating the Americans on every front in relation to the space race, but no manned landing on the moon.

This obvious fact gets my attention.........because I would ask why?

The Americans further claim that passing through the Van Allen belts quickly, 90 minutes going and 90 minutes coming, posed no hazard or risk to the crews.

Yet, the measured radiation of the inner and outer belts is 75 rads per second and 100 rads per second, for a total of just under half a million rads going and another half million rads coming with virtually no shielding, plus the additional radiation from the numerous solar storms occurring during this same time frame.

Today the Van Allen belts pose a hazard to the space station, satellites and commercial aircraft flying below the level of the belts.

If we are going to move forward it is essential to know the facts.
